That really does highlight how high they are and how distorted the market has become.

The problem is, too many people now purchase 2nd, 3rd, nth homes as investments and so many people have come to rely on ever increasing house prices for retirement that politicians have started altering policy to keep the prices increasing (to keep themselves in power) even though it is completely unsustainable.
The problem is, everyone has to play along even though you know it is going to even in tears if you need a place to live.
