Folks this may have been posted, Another thing to add to the "Hummm, is this Gods Organization list?"

The May 1, 2007 Question from readers brings new light to the subject of When was the year the call for the anointed ended?

Do you think a 1914 change could be next?

They have basically dropped the importance of that date by changing over to the figurative generation from the literal one. Given the power they have over their followers' perceptive faculty they may well go ahead and change that date to being totally insignificant, they can always juggle things around and persuade them that all is fine and taht just a "minor" adjustment was made.

I think the Society has made signficant changes already to doctrines or prophecy related scriptures because they had to, time has passed without any major fulfillment,

However I think they must stick to the core of their teachings no matter what such as 1914, blood, disfellowshipping because of the problems both legally and otherwise it would make.

They will hold certain things forever.

The bible not saying never seemed to bother them before.... another long-held doctrine becomes completely ambiguous and nonsensical. It's a wonder that these obvious charlatans continue to attract any new members, and hang on to their current ones.

The Watchtower's penchant for foucussing on various dates and years had created quite a few headaches. When Rutheford began teaching the 1935 cut-off date, it was as if the organization had stepped into a big pile of horse dung. With Rutheford dead and gone, the organization now has to clean this mess off of the bottom of their shoe.
