I remember this story being told in the 1970's, back when Nathan Homer Snore Knorr was the WTS president. This story was probably told at the Hall, or perhaps at a JW gathering. That part is a little fuzzy, but the details of this story remain clear.
Two "brothers" were preaching door to door in New York City. They encountered a skeptical householder, who said "You're out here working, gathering contributions while your Watchtower leaders are sitting in their ivory tower at your headquarters."
Then one of the brothers stepped forward and said, "Excuse me sir, but my name is Nathan Knorr, president of the WT Society."
So.... waddya think -- A real experience proving the humility and diligence of the Watchtower leaders, or do you call bullshit?
