I was watching the "Mystery of the Rosary" show on Catholic TV ( mostly because I wanted to know what was so mysterious about a string of

beads). Anyhow, a PhD theologian comes on and talks about St. Ignatius. He says that Ignatius disproves the Witness idea that the Trinity

came along 300 hundred years after Christ. Ignatius explicitly refers to Christ as God and lived much of his life in the Apostolic period.

Apparently, he's correct. Just one of those things the Watchtower avoids talking about.

Most of the available writings available from the early Church Fathers shows they thought Jesus was God. So yes, the JWs are lying on that one (especially in the Trinity brochure).

Ignatius simply must've been an apostate. That's all.

Yeah, James White wrote an article on the Witnesses' handling of Ignatius:

But I don't think it is as clear cut as he makes out. There are still questions about the authenticity of even the seven letters generally accepted as genuine. Additionally, although the 'genuine' Ignatian letters display a high Christology, a Trinitarian in the classical sense he was not.

Yes but if Jesus is God that doesnt solve anything.

So God knew the begining from the end. He knew Adam and Eve would sin. Then he threw a fit and had himself killed on a tree.

    Real comforting?

Go back to the drawing board.
