So most JW's know of , have been to, or been a part of a Kingdom Hall Build. These are coordinated through the Regional Building

Committee. Well, the new rule now for anyone wanting to work on a Kingdom Hall project, is that the RBC members interview you

face to face. That's right. The WT wants the RBC to sit everyone down who wants the "privilege" of giving away their time and money, and

"get a feel" for the type of brother/sister you are, whether you really have the "volunteer" spirit.

After learning about this new procedure, it seems they are out to mitigate lawsuits and worker's comp. claims by "vhetting" volunteers more

aggressively by their team of company men. I can only think of the inconvenience for the guys on the RBS and then the interviewee. The WTS

truly does not want its members to have their own lives. This new procedure is retroactive to all who currently are "approved" volunteers.

The only thing they ever wanted from me was my cooking and baking.

It's kind of a shame that I'll never set foot on one of their construction sites again, because I'd love to bake some ExLax Chip Cookies for those jerks.

It seems to me the purpose would be for safety training so people don't get hurt. That would be logical.

I worked on the quick build and if you get hurt or suffer an injury and your not a Bethelite your on your own. If you are a Bethelite you go to the infirmary at Bethel. I believe this face to face is to get you to sign paperwork releasing 'The Watchtower' from being sued for any injuries one might incur from working as a volunteer. CYA, has priority with them.
