I have several friends that have gone. They say this is awesome. My boss is paying for 60 students from her daughters high school to go, next week. We are probably going on Saturday evening, or even Sunday morning.

Throughout the ages, medical scholars and students have strived to understand how our bodies function through exploration of real human specimens. BODY WORLDS, the most highly attended touring exhibition in the world, takes this tradition one step further by presenting a new look at the human body.

The exhibition features approximately 200 authentic human specimens, including whole bodies, plastinated individual organs and transparent body slices that have been preserved through the process of Plastination, a technique that replaces bodily fluids and fat with reactive plastics. BODY WORLDS offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see and understand our own physiology and health and to gain new appreciation and respect for what it means to be human.

That came through Tampa bay about a year ago

. I got to see 3 real autopsys when I went to the police academy. They crack em open and scoop the organs and guts out and put them in zip lock bags then they scalp em and use a dremel saw to carve the top of the head off and take the brain out. When they crack a body open with bolt cutters, the body looks kind of like an angel only the wings are in front. The wings are the rib cage spit down the middle and spread open.

Then they stich them all back together again.

in Florida, unless you die under a doctors care they do that to everyone.

Probably thanks to the insurance companies, if they find out latter you had a life insurance policy and someones trying to cash it in with your body.

They said at the Tampa Police academy that the police work primarily for the insurance companies, collecting data and processing forms. Of course the insurance companies have arranged for the police to be paid with tax dollars as sort of an illusionary effect for all of the citizens.

It stinks in the morgue, it smells like a toilet after somebody ate burritos and beer.

I live in the Dallas area and I saw the exhibit. .

    Standouts for me included:

    The man on the horse

    the pregnant woman

an extremely thin slice side view of an obese person

They also have a process where they can infuse the smallest of capillaries with a plastic like substance and then remove all the bone and soft tissues leaving only the vein system structure. I thought that was cool.

    Definitely worth seeing.
