Descison time?

  As witnesses and lurkers struggle with who and what to do I believe? We are all faced with the same options.

  1) Jesus and the Bible

  2) "Faithful and Discreet Slave/Governing Body?

  Why is this John 2:22 Good enough for the Apostles and First Century Christians who HAD God's favor but not today, why must flock members feel compelled to listen to men instead of the simplistic message and our only Teacher and Master?

  Avb - and while reading further in John 2:24-25 it says that Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

  Jesus himself said it...he did not trust man. Just think, all the years that we as JW's believed the GB (mere men) and what they said. All the Watchtowers and the different rules that were written and we followed everything and believed men.

  Thanks for the follow up Tweety, excellent points how Christ would not trust men because he knew how man is/was. If our Lord didn't trust them and we are suppose to be "Christian followers" how much more should we not trust men when it comes to their teachings?
