Varna. VMRO is getting ready for a serious counteraction against a meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city of Varna, chairman of the citizens’ organization of the party Nikolay Petrov told FOCUS-Varna Radio. The date and the place of the meeting has not been confirmed yet. Petrov said that VMRO would react as soon as it learned something about the meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses. The party is backed by the bishops of Varna and Veliki Preslav. On April 28th, Jehovah's Witnesses held a congress in the town of Dobrich. The municipal organization of VMRO in the Bulgarian town of Dobrich and the Vicar’s office staged a rally under the motto “Dobrich against sects”. Churches organized processions. A declaration was adopted calling the Parliament to deny registration to dangerous sects. |
