I did some leg work at the British Museum and compiled the following document. Any serious Jehovah Witness needs to read this document as it blows away the 607 date. Please dear JWs don't be so possesive of the 607 date. It is only your leaders who are promoting such propaganda for their own greedy purposes. The Watchtower is an evil empire that feeds on you gullable Witnesses

I agree with you about the impressive historical documentation. However, you're making an understandable error in assuming that JWs are "free" to consider the historical facts. Moreover, I'd guess that most, if not all of them, are blithely unaware or uninterested in what the evidence shows.
I have to agree. Raised as a JW we were taught to ignore and totally not even hear historical data that is published in countless libraries throughout the earth. JWs are lofty, egotistical, blind to the real world. That's why (I found) we were taught to constantly read JW literature, repeat and memorize it, it was self hypnosis that was constantly reinforced at the 5 meetings each wk.
Many have put together such documents disproving the 607 date. But as has been said its getting the JW to read such a document. They are continually told that such things are wrong, and only the WT is right.
One of the things I found strange when a JW was that the WT would quote some archaeologist or historian over some other date. But when the same people rejected the 607 date, they are rejected as being wrong.

Yes it indeed is strange for a group that urges people outside the Watchtower to scrutinise their respective beliefs, but blithely ignores evidence contrary to its own beliefs! It's called being biased and...dishonest.
