How many of you were disappointed once again with the results of this show?

I won't be watching it again. It obviously has become a preteen voting cell phone fest with no regard for real talent.

I almost quit when that silly Sonjay kept staying on.

I think this this is the last season for anyone with an ear for music.

If they limited everyone to a single vote, they might seem more legitimate.

    Last time for me.

    I agree 100%

Melinda should have remained. Blake should have gone.

You have the reasons figured out IMO. One vote should be the rule - not as many as they can make in two hours after the show. Adults would likely vote once - teens have an obsession with the texting.

I was disappointed too! It was like Simon knew. He was disengaged during the whole show. I wanted her to win! Hopefully, her music career will still take off. I haven't heard as much from last year's winner. I heard a lot more from the losers like Mcphee and Daltry.

but the programme isnt about talent

its about who will sell the most records (or downloads..whatever)

it was pretty obvious from the get go that the good singers wouldn't relate with the teens.

I think in the beginning is was about talent, but it has become a ridiculous popularity contest with prepubescent kids.

It is too bad about Melinda. She is the first I will watch for any Cd's she may put out, along with the girl voted off last week.

But unless they change the voting, I won't watch this show again.

    Gotta disagree with you guys.

Melinda is a nice girl, but I don't think she will ever be a big success. Not much beyond this next years tours and maybe a nice compilation CD. Obviously she has a great voice. A real pro. You're going to hate me for this, but she is awkward and painful to look at. She does not have the confidence and or the presence to come out of the chorus and take the spot light. So, I am not disappointed in the outcome last night.

Jordan is sweet and very talented for her age.

Blake will take it, if he doesn't get carried away with his "bippity, boppity boo stuff. He has a smooth voice, confidence and a nice stage presence, and I am sure the teeny boppers like him.

    That's my take.

    Watson
