Hello, I needed to ask you a question about the grading system for IB. When a student was taking honor's classes or if a student was taking IB classes the grading system didn't reflect this. Therefore, you could have an honor's or IB student taking physics for instance who is making a "C" in the class and then you could have a regular student taking pre-algebra who's making an "A". This student with the "A" would make the honor roll, where as, the student that was taking the physics in IB or Honors wouldn't. Do you follow me? Did they ever get this corrected?

It works like this - people like you would call the ones taking Honor's classes (if black) - house n*******s - and thus they gave up that path to be "black enough" to have cred with role models like you. You'd taunt them for being "survivors" and make them feel badly for ..... well for something.

    Nice work MrsMcD !

MsMcD, You asked: Do you follow me? Did they ever get this corrected?

Will have to check into this. Not to boast, but my child made all A's in every subject. I do know there have been complaints about the IB fostering elitism. I don't know about that, but the program was the best fit for my child.

    See ya

Hi Snowbird, same here! They have parents that will take their children out of private schools if they are accepted into the program!

I found another picture of her on the Gate's site! They were flew out to California for a ceremony. There was a New York group and a California group. The New York group got to meet Bill Gates. I'd of been happy if my daughter met Melinda Gates cause we have the same first name! Maybe, she will??? My daughter is the second girl.

    Morning, McD,

Thanks for the pics. I attended my grandson's graduation to middle school on yesterday. He looked so tall and handsome that I cried thru the whole ceremony.

I began taking care of him when he was only two weeks old. His mother and father split up, and guess who was there for him? You guessed correctly. He lives with his dad now, and he seems to be doing just peachy. I have six grandkids and tried taking them with me to the meetings. They all hated it!!! If we only listen, children can tell us something.

I only have one grandchild. He's five years old. We are helping our daughter to raise him because she's a single mom. She's worked night jobs like an EMT/911 Dispatcher or doing Tech Support for T-Mobile, so I would keep my grandson at night. I remember running up to the police station to get the milk that she had pumped for him to drink! My grandson calls me "mawmaw" and his grandpa "dad" or "pawpaw".

One day my grandson was over to his cousin's house, and he was talking about his "mawmaw" and "dad". My nephew asked him why do you call them mom and dad? My grandson looked at him funny, cocked his head, and raised his shoulders and said "It's because they're old people!".

He calls his mother "mama". So we have to be listening carefully to make sure who he's talking to! He calls his father by his first name!

Awww! congratulatations, Melinda. That's a lovely name, btw. Your grandson is a darling and must be very proud of his accomplishments and hard work this year. Such precious pics. Your daughter looks so intent on her project. I wish you all the best; they are so lucky to have your support and love.
