Pedophilia and self-policing

Recent conversation with an elder from the borg stated that it is up to the person suspected of molestation to keep themselves from families with children. Even when they are known to be a past molester they the BOE leave it up to them to self police themselves. Now isn't that kiknd of like puttihng the fox in the hen house and telling him not to associate or eat any hens? The self policing i think must be because they can't watch the ped all the time. But he never did say why they don't come out and warn the congregation.

I know when i first informed on my father that someone always used to follow him to the loo and stuff but i bet they don't anymore. policing yourself? that's like sticking a bottle of vino in front of an alco and trusting them not to drink! (thought i'd come up with another metaphor hehe)

Their pedo policy is obviously too soft and evasive of the issue. Needing to produce two witnesses says it all. Then leaving pedos to self police themselves confirms the picture of being indifferent to the problem.

Buffalo, the reason they let these asswipe pedophiles police themselves is because if they draw too much attention to it by the elders policing it then the coverup of molestation will be revealed to the members of the congregation. We can't have that now, can we? It just makes too much sense. Hey here's an idea, based on their own governing bodies way of handling problems in the past. Why not have some "mature" elder give a talk on the dangers of child molestation and what the brothers and sisters can do to protect their children from these creeps? If the molester sitting in the audience is balding you might just see the back of his head turn three sheets of red, and then everybody sitting in the hall would recognize who it is. Don't they call those local needs talks, or something like that??? Bastard molesters!!!

To tell a pedo to "police" himself? He probably CAN'T help himself. Try telling the dog not to eat the hamburger on the floor. Why does everybody think there was a public outcry for a sex offender registry and Megan's Law? It is to warn the public of these people. And for the very reason that these people cannot be trusted. They actively seek out what it is they are supposed to stay away from.

I am not saying I am sorry for anybody who is a pedo but I look at him like I would look at somebody who turns into a werewolf. He has a curse that he can't help and he certainly cannot be trusted to do the right thing because his very brain is working against him. This, in and of itself, tells everybody the religion is just plain stupid and totally out of touch with reality. They have absolutely no grasp on psychology or common sense or anything. In the early days, I felt they were blindsided by all the claims and just didn't know how to handle it. Now, I know they are hopeless.

All this tells everybody is that it is not a safe place to bring any minor or anybody under the age of 100 for that matter.
