Dead Elders: an amends

The other day I posted, on a thread, that the only good Elder was a dead one. I regret that comment and ask amends to those that were offended....if any....
By "death" I was thinking "inactive in that roll." Like: Are there any "good" meth dealers, or "good pediphiles."
A person could become "dead" by stopping bad action and taking a different course in whatever evil they are involved in.
So, the best answer I guess, on that thread, was "an ex Elder."

There are more than a few ex elders on this site (me included). Although we still have a little life, we are dead to the wt.

I don't think anyone here has much sympathy for JW elders since they are the ones that enforce the often criminal policies of the FDS eg shunning and blood transfusion ban. In fact the authority of the FDS depends mainly on them as they are the most numerous of the WTS policy enforcers.
