I get to buy a new one! Saw a beauty at WalMart. I really like cooking on charcoal (hotter) but gas is so much more convenient. Just a tip for anyone looking at either type, do not buy one with those flimsy little chrome wire grills, the food sticks and they rust out quickly. The best are cast iron or heavy porcelain. If choosing gas, make sure it is at least 30,000 BTUs.

Enjoy shopping for your new one, and when you get it put a couple of brats on the grill for me.

I don't grill very much, but I do remember every Easter my dad used to grill hot dogs and fajitas. One way to keep food from sticking is he would line the grill with heavy duty Reynolds Foil like this:

I love my new grill. I bought the 200.00 model from Wal Mart (not the top of the line, but it did have the heavy duty grill cast iron grills).

Three burners, turn em up high to get the temperature up to 350-400, then lower them down to as low as you can go.

Put on some THICK rib-eyes (select or prime) rubbed with a good spice rub (anything with garlic works best). Cook till just slightly pink in the middle

You will eat the best steaks you ever had, better than anything in a restaurant!

when i do my steaks, i do as mentioned above. get a good cut of meat, get the grill good and hot, sear both sides for about 15 seconds, then turn the heat way down. let them sit a few minutes. then i make a killer sauce. i melt a stick of butter, and saute' minced garlic in it, then add some creole mustard, let it sit a bit, then the mustard and garlic will sink to the bottom. when serving, pour a little butter, then scoop out some of the mustard and garlic and put on steak. mmmmmmmmmmm

yeah, but, it's hard to keep lit, and it makes ya cough alot. hahahahahaaaa

smoking the meat, then bar-b-qing it with lots of sauce on it is the way to go. if you want the best sauces in the world, go to www.zearestaurants.com get the thai rib sauce, smoke some ribs, and grill them with this sauce. so good, it'll make ya want to slap your momma. also, the chili glaze is great on shrimp, just grill them, put the sauce on them, and let the sauce kind of carmalise. sooooo good.
