DAMN YOU TERRY!! or Who's Snippets Have U Enjoyed Lately?

  As I was driving to work this morning the sunrise was fantabulously gorgeoso. Here's the sad part. JWD crept into my thoughts. Gimme a break!! Get a life dude!

  Anyway, I couldn't help but think about the recent monster thread entitled "Isn't God Awesome?" as I was watching this beautiful sunrise. But being an agtheist I wasn't getting all blubbery about Sky God. I was thinking of these words that "Terry" jumped in with right at the start of that thread:

  I stand in awe.

  I wonder.

  I wonder about ingrown crotch hairs that itch and make unsightly pimples.

  I wonder about loogies and why men like to hock them up and spit them in front of you.

  I wonder about nostril hair that grows like an elephant tusk when you are over 40.

  I wonder why chubby women wear tight pants that cause their muffin-top fatrolls to spill over like squeezed water balloons.

  I wonder about little kids with large and wondrous eyes with foul-mouthed parents who scream at them and jerk their little arms like pitbull leashes.

  I wonder about the dead sparrow I saw on the sidewalk which had been infested by thousands of itchy lice that were abandoning the inert host.

  I wonder about the billions of prayers sent heavenward pleading for mercy and the rivers of blood that silence them.

  I do wonder about God.

  I really do.

  DAMN YOU TERRY!!! I can't get those words out of my head now whenever I see the beauty of nature. That was also one of the best "coffee spewing" moments I've had on JWD in quite a while.

  So. ........ What little JWD gems stick in your mind? They don't have to be recent, but they should be short enough to not fill up the screen.

  They can be funny, wise or just quirky.

  BTW, if you feel compelled to give credit to a more lengthy piece, just post the link. I'd like readers of this thread to be able to just scroll down and have a quick laugh or poignant moment without having to click all over the place.

  That truly was a momentous one of Terry's. Thanks for reminding me of it.

  I'll have to think on which posts have affected me most deeply.

  I think one would have to be Dedpoet's post telling us all that Linda/fullofdoubtnow is so poorly.

  I agree with Terrys post, That is the way my brain would most naturally think and reason. For some including me that kind of thinking may lead to depression and hoplessness. At that point some inject an attitude of grattitude and thanks. Its all about keeping it on the good foot to keep the chemicals positive.

  To do that some people have to bullshxt themselves. At least thats what I used to do. Now I am probably numb beyond depression. Reality can be a nasty little pill.
