Considering the remarkably varied and stimulating themes of district conventions in recent years ("Faith in God's Word," "Teachers of God's Word," "Doers of God's Word," "God's Prophetic Word" etc.), here's how I envision the opening remarks for the 2005 "God's Godly Word" District Convention:
"God's Word is godly. Moreover, it is inspired of God. Do you strive to be godly in your application of God's Word? That is what God requires of us. Contrariwise, opposers fail to heed God's Word. They ignore God's name, Jehovah. But God does not ignore their evil conduct. Jehovah, through his godly Word, condemns such apostasy. In this manner, God affirms his own godliness. Turn me with me, please, in your Bibles to 2 Timothy 3:16, where we will remain for the next three days..."
