Features of the Jewish dating system are provided at the Jewish genealogy site "jewishgen.org".

The site includes a limited Gregorian/Hebrew date converter, which tells me that 1 Tishri 5675 was 21 September 1914.

I provided this information because several recent Posts have discussed the Jewish calendrical system, especially in view of the "7 years" of Nebuchadnezzar's madness.

I thought this Jewish resource provides an unbiased source of information.

I was also interested in finding Tishri 1 1914, in view of the WTS's interest.

As a complete distraction, if you look at the information provided at this and similar sites, you will see the Nazis' detailed record-keeping of their victims.

Interested JWs might look -- elsewhere, of course -- for the names and details of the WTS people who fell victim to the Nazi regime.

(For example, the Nazi's records tell me the dates when my Jewish grandparents were taken from the collection houses in Vienna as well as the dates, locations and methods used to murder them. So no doubt similar information should be available somewhere else for the other victims, such as gypsies and homosexuals).
