Recently, I obtained photocopies of issues of Herald of the Morning for the year 1878 and 1879. The issues I have for 1878 are from June to December. I think there were some issues issued earlier that year but I've been unable to verify that or obtain any copies. For those who do not know, the Herald of the Morning was the magazine C.T. Russell was co-editor of before he started the Watchtower magazine. So, the Herald of the Morning gives us a good look at one of the direct historical influences on Russell and the early Bible Student movement. It also provides us more about the dispute between Nelson Barbour and Russell on their divergent views on the Atonement which led to Russell's break with Barbour and the establishment of the Watchtower magazine.

I'll put together the issues I have from 1879 (January to June) up in a couple of weeks.
The copies I obtained were a bit faint and I had a hard time getting the OCR to work correctly. I finally re-copied them with darker and the OCR worked a bit better but not as good as it should have. If anyone can improve on that, please feel free to do so and then share that with us!
