Have just heard from eyewitnesses that the Louvre in Paris has been evacuated.
Any reports in French media?
Cheers,
Ozzie

Ozzie,
Here's a link to a news report: http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/20011011/wl/france_museum_strikes_1.html
This is not directly related to terrorism. French union workers went on strike because of a mandatory workweek reduction, from 39 to 35 hours. The Louvre was closed part of the day, apparently due to lack of staff.
Tourism is down in France since the terror attacks of 9/11.

G'day Gopher,
Many thanks for the link. I hope it's simply a strike and not something more sinister.
Cheers,
Ozzie
