  Can Something Good Come Out of Something Evil?

  A discussion with my friend about Adolf Hitler led me along the lines
  of a different perspective. History will show Hitler to be a “monster,”
  concerning his radical “master race” ideologies and the atrocities he
  perpetrated on Europe and the rest of the world.
  
  However, it still leaves the question whether something good can come out of something evil.

  Advances In Science, Technology And Medicine

  Sadly, human advances in the disciplines of science, technology and medicine
  correlate with warfare. I am not a proponent of war; however, a question that
  I have been pondering over recently has been can something good come out of
  something evil?

  What is your perspective on the matter?

  I would say yes. Because you always got to keep it on the good foot and look for the positive in every situation. So when you get lemons you make lemonade and that is good.

  The only thing good that possibly came out of the evil of the third reich is how most of western society has been enlightened about the evil of racism to an extreme degree where it actually culminates in genocide.

  How about standing the question on its head; Can something bad come out of something good?

  of course.

  "Good" and "Evil" are judgements.

  Change the question to "Can something come out of something?" The answer is "yes."

  People look for and find solutions to problems, whether the problem is how to keep the victim of a land mine explosion alive or how to increase the lethality of a land mine.

  are merely labels in the minds of those who use the terms, and wholly subjective in nature, are they not?
