    Comment: "Why should I believe the Governing Body?"

    Witness: "Because history shows that they teach the truth and distribute spiritual food at the proper time."

    Comment: "On the contrary, they've made dozens of mistakes throughout their history, huge mistakes that damaged other people's lives and happiness."

    Witness: "They are imperfect men. Even the apostles had wrong expectations at times."

    Comment: "But the apostles didn't enforce the shunning of others who chose to disagree with them."

    Witness: "We need to maintain unity in the congregation."

    Comment: "But you refer to your faith as 'the truth.' If you make that big of a claim, then truth, not unity, should be the bottom line. Which brings me back to my first question..."

    Comment,

    Execllent. I'd like to suggest a slightly different but equivalent ending;

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

    1. NonWit: "Why should I believe the Governing Body?"

    1(a.) Wit: "Because history shows that they teach the truth and distribute spiritual food at the proper time."

    2. NonWit: "On the contrary, they've made dozens of mistakes throughout their history, huge mistakes that damaged other people's lives and happiness."

    2(a.) Wit: "They are imperfect men. Even the apostles had wrong expectations at times."

    3. NonWit: "But the apostles didn't enforce the shunning of others who chose to disagree with them, especially on matters for which there were no definite Scriptural principles."

    3(a.) Wit: "We need to maintain unity in the congregation."

    4. NonWit: "Unity in what?"

    4(a.) Wit: "Beliefs and procedures."

    5. NonWit: "And who decides what those beliefs and procedures should be?"

    5(a.) Wit: "The Governing Body"
