July is here...

I remember last month when there was a rumor started that insinuated June 12th as the predicted date for Armageddon, evidently started by the Governing Body to be spread via the hounder-hounders. They were talking about only days and a few weeks at most, and that was at the beginning of June 2007. This system of things was not supposed to make it past the end of June.

Guess what, bozos! July is here, and we are still in this system of things! Exactly as I thought, they blew it again. i still see most of the churches fully operational. They are not going anywhere soon. And I bet they are going to say that the publishers were to blame, not the Governing Body or the hounder-hounders, for starting and spreading that rumor. As with 1975, they are going to blame those who sold out and pioneered for what would be the last few weeks of this system. And, as with 1975, those who did ended up with nothing but bills and hardships. And now they are pushing Armageddon back yet again, this time by not announcing the dates and timings of the next Grand Boasting Session. We'll be watching when the summer of 2008 gets here and we are still not in the "new" system and there are still churches in full operation.

I thought this would be a thread about summer vacation or summer heat! Yes, here we are still in this old world, and no matter how desperately they want to avoid it, JWs are going to die some day just like everyone else.

Now, getting back to summer issues, it's supposed to be 121 degrees here by Thursday. 115 today. Whew!

    OMG, 121 degree's?

I think I would be looking forward to Armeggedon if I had to deal with that!

121 degrees? Sounds like Death Valley! I was in Needles Ca. for awhile years ago and the hottest I saw it was 127. DJK has it pegged about right too!! LOL

yeah, every July I wonder why I live here. But it's only for three months - the rest of the year is lovely. It's not Death Valley, but the Coachella Valley - Palm Springs and a whole string of cities along the San Andreas fault. Great place!
