One of the excuses I use to always use for not getting baptize was " why get baptized when I might in up getting disfellowship. The Jw whom I studied with would compare that to someone not learning how to drive because they are afraid of getting in a accident. After finding out about their shady history I no longer feel guilty for not getting baptize as a JW.

I didn't have to make excuses for me not being a jw (baptized, I mean) because they continually did it for me. My meeting attendance was never good enough!

What an appropriate analogy. One could say that the Watchtower's course of date-setting, speculation, and changing teachings has been like a half-blind old lady running over the traffic cones as she tries to perform her driving test. You should go back to that boy scout and tell him that you didn't want to get into the passenger seat of an accident prone driver. Thank him for his sound wisdom.

A casual investigation into the organization's history while weighing it against their self-elevating claims of exclusivity will answer this question most appropriately.

Wow MIndyemt, way to go *clap clap clap* love the intro.

I don't make excuses for not being a jw. Don't have to right now since I don't live around anyone who knew me when I was younger. My parents know better than to ask why I'm not a jw.

mmmmm... whats so bad about Jws

    1. They smile in your face when it is time for them to count time by conducting your bible study but half the time they are trying to get to know personel things about you. Once they leave and get in their car groups, they are informing the rest of the publishers about their "study"

    2. They talk out the sides of their mouths concerning, the blood issue

    3. Most of them denied there religion history.
