I also agree with the added narration on the videos. The speakers try to make it look like getting an education is bad news and only leads to trouble while pioneering leads to happiness. What they don't tell you is that not getting an education leads to stagnation, and you will usually find yourself unable to take care of yourself when you get older. Oh well, at least you will have placed many magazines.
There is an underlying reason for our poor education. It has to do with the leaders. The more they want to control people, the less they teach them things that really mean something. And they teach in a disjointed way that leads to boredom, which is why so many people do poorly in school and there is disruption in class. Most drug problems result from people that need kicks: if education was up to standard, it would supply all the kicks they need. Plus, there would almost never be any heads-downs for excess noise.
However, that doeesn't justify banning it. As crappy as our education system is today, it is still better than nothing. You need to get that education, to make sure your thinking is securely within the box, in order to get decent work (otherwise, they are afraid that someone is going to design something better and put the big companies out of business, cutting off lobbyist funds for next election). Which is still better than spending your life in the cleaning and window-washing business and pioneering. I would rather go to college, even with all the crappy administration that wants to keep everyone in the box, than skip it and pioneer and be a window washer or toilet scrubber.
Finally, did I mention that the congregations have most of the same problems found in the campus? The videos did. This is because the root of most binge drinking, wild sex parties, drugs, and other things that are mentioned is stagnation. People do those things in search for kicks, and they need the kicks to relieve the boredom caused by the stagnation. And no organization is more stagnant to be in than the Puketower Society. I think I will stick with college.
