My take is 2 fold 1, If God made it, why wouldn't he want us not to grow it and 2, I take it they think Jesus was clean cut as well in 30 AD.

If those taking the lead and the GB really knew Christ they would treat their b/s in a loving way. The follow the Christ convention will probably turn out to be follow the Tower and GB.

I was out of town back in 1983 working on the Niagra Mowhawk Nuclear #2 unit near Oswego NY. It was winter and I decided to grow a beard. I had almost 3 months of growth when I came home. My wife loved it, so I didn't shave it off. Needless to say it made a big impression when I showed up at The KH that Sunday. Several MS told me they wanted a beard, too. I remember one elder came up to me and asked, if I planned to keep or not. I just looked at him and said, " If I remember correctly, Jesus had a beard too, didn't he?"

I kept it for a couple weeks and then shaved it off. A full beard was no fun in Florida, with summer arriving soon. From that point on I noticed the elders treated me differently- kinda distant.

The reason for no facial hair is because the dubs are suppose to dress like business executives. And of course, the GB decides what a "business executive" should dress like.

These are the silly opinions of a group of very old, institutionalized men, who have never even been remotely in touch with reality.

Not only are they supposed to dress like business executives, but their idea of business executives is out of date. I have noticed more relaxed dress codes among business executives in the past 20 years. And I hope this reduces the effectiveness of the Witlesses in the 21st century as they try to use methods that appealed in the early 20th century.

Absolutely, for example, when was the last time you saw a female executive dressed like a JW women? Sisters dress nothing like their "executive" counterparts.

I assume this harks back to the days when there were no female executives, so therefore the GB likes to see the females dressed like southern baptist women.
