  I accidentally put this post in the Big Love Topic so here is the JFC topic here. Pistoff mentioned in the Big Love thread that they love John from Cincinnati. It is quite a different story for sure, and I agree, amazing writing. Here is his speech from last Sunday's episode: (courtesy of HBO) "If my words are yours, can you hear my Father? In-my-Father's-Word, the Wave lifts them up. "In Cass's camera, Bill doesn't bump his head on the stairs. In Cass's-camera, as long as he's being stupid, Bill gives Lois a kiss. "In His-Word-in-Cass's-camera, the Internet is big. Nine-Eleven is big, but not every towel-head is eradicated. In His-Word, We are coming Nine-Eleven-Fourteen. "In my-Father's-Word, Bill sees how Freddy relaxes. In Cass's-camera, Ramon wants to know who's hungry, in the courtyard and Room Forty-Five. "In my-Father's-Word-to-come-in-Cass's-camera, Doctor Smith calls Ocean Properties. In Cass's-camera-to-come, my Father stares Not Aleman down, and Freddy sees Bill much-improved. "You will not note my-Father's-Word, nor remember Cass's-camera, but you will not forget what we did here." And with that, John's spell is broken.

  Hi. My name's undercover and I'm a fan of "John from Cincinnati"...

  After the first episode I wasn't too excited about it but I was drawn back the next week to watch it. By the third episode I was getting sucked in. Now I'm hooked...and I can't explain why I like it. It's strange and hard to explain to anyone who hasn't seen it, unlike Sopranos or Deadwood.

  sidenote: we have a game of "name that Deadwood actor" when watching JFC. There's also at least one from the Sopranos and one from Sex in the City.

  Undercover, I agree it's hard to explain to people who haven't seen it, why you like it. I do recognize some people from other shows. It wasn't until I went to the HBO website, to see what actor is played by Bill (Ed O'Neill) because he seemed so familiar. And he is Al Bundy from Married With Children. He has gained quite a bit of weight and has aged, but is perfect for the part he's playing.
