  My husband and I are fairly tall, we're both 6'. So my children are tall too, Shawn 13 is 5'6", Jocelyn 9 is 5', Shane 6 is 4'5", and Joshua 3 is 3'9". I know they are all going to be as tall or taller than me and their dad, so in fun I looked up a height predictor online and this is what they predicted my childrens' heights to be when they reach 18:

  Shawn - 6'2", Jocelyn - 6', Shane - 6'7", and Joshua 6'6"

  I think it will be a hoot to have to look up at my children.

  I love your daughters name (mainly because it is mine too shhh don't tell anyone). Anyways, I was 5'2" at 8. My mother is 5'7", dad is 6'1". They measured my wrist and said I still had a lot of growing to do. They predicted I would be at least 5'8" and possibly 6". I only grew another inch and 3/4. So at 30, I am a mere 5'4". Freaking recessive genes. I really wanted to be tall.

  I was still growing when in my early 20's!

  The best predictor of height is whether you have Scandanavian or Watusi genes in your family tree!

  Not exactly! (Of the looking up at my sons when they were about 14 class). One of them 6'4 and the other 6'1.

  My mother hated that I grew to be taller than her, she's about 5 7", even told me once that she thought I would be shorter or maybe the same height as her. I think she thought I would be easier to control if I had been shorter. My sister (she's 5'6") should have proved that theory wrong.

  My grandmother was 6 feet tall and wore high heel shoes and a tall bun on her head like Marge Simpson!

  My dad was a runt at 5 feet 7 inches. He had four brothers all 6 feet four inches. I'm six four also.

  One of my daughters is six feet one. I don't seem to produce small children. It is the Scandanavian genes. (Or, the Watusi :)
