I have heard several commentators on newscasts saying that the recent acts of terrorism are not religiously motivated, but motivated by ego or greed.
What do y'all think? Religious, Ego, or other?

Religion is a product of ego and greed. The greedy desire to control others, and the ego to think that you have the special knowledge which makes control the right thing to do.
Religion is also the great exercise of moral hypocrisy. Deeds which in non-religious contexts are viewed as heinous, become acceptable and even heroic when one is accomplishing the will of god.
