Well I have vowed to celebrate the holidays, come hell or high water. So I sent my wife a nice bouquet of flowers to her work, with a big happy B-Day balloon and card. Well she gets it and is all excited. That was yesterday. Today she tells me all her co-workers, even though she has told them she is a dub, were bringing her gifts etc. and that they will be having a pot luck next week for a b-day lunchen. You could see the shit eating grin on her face from ear to ear. Hmmm, maybe she is starting to realize that Jehovah (the asshole god) isn't going to strike her down with a bolt of lightening. I wonder if she will reciprocate when my B-day comes up here shortly? ...probably not, but I'll cross my fingers.
Sent my quasi dub wife a birthday gift!

That is a really big step.
It sounds like she's decided for herself that birthdays are ok. People who aren't familiar with the witnesses would laugh at us to hear us get so excited about this - but it a big deal.
Who knows what she'll decide is ok next.
