JW and Dinosaurs! (c'mon, Alan, help!)

  For all of you closet scientist out there, I thought you might enjoy seeing this 'club.'

  I grew up with the kid who runs the 'club' and it looks as though he drank the koolaid!

  If you're one of Jehovah's Witnesses, like dinosaurs, and want to talk about them, this is the place. If you like dinosaurs, BUT are not yet one of Jehovah's Witnesses, then, um, there's no need for you to join (unless you have sincere questions). I hate to add this, but, in the spirit of having fun, any opposers will be deleted. Enjoy! And feel free to ask questions!

  Just for the record, if someone joins my club with a suspicious ID (badlooz), blank profile, and no member comment, um wow. I believe I'm justified in deleting him. I say that because I just did it. Just trying to keep my club free of suspicious ones! I'm also trying to protect my members who automatically get every post vie email.

  You'd think this 'club' was all the rage, what with 12 members and all!

  Anyhow, he offers a ton of 'proof' that Dinos are cold-blooded (or whatever!), and I just wanted to unleash some of our scientists on him!

  Dinosaurs were their own unique type of life, perhaps a mix of self-generating body heat but deriving most of their body heat from the sun. Ample evidence suggests the earth at one time was very very warm everywhere. Animals evolving in a climate like that would have no need to evolve ineffecient body heating mechanisms.

  When the meteors hit, the large dinosaurs could not generate enough body heat and died out..the only animals to survive are those that could warm themselves in other ways, like small rodents who had evolved fur and body heat to keep them warm in tunnels and underground. They eventually dominated the planets surface and eventually led to primates and then humans.

  Why else would mammals EXPLODE and thrive while only the dinosaurs died out?

  I think dinosaurs are a hoax, made up by evil scientists who want to undermine our faith. Why would Jehovah create a whole species, let them live, thrive and dominate for millenniums, then just destroy them with the ice age--er, I mean flood.
  No joke, I once heard a nice, strong pioneer sister echo these thoughts. I wonder if she'll write in. I don't think this poor little dino-enthusiast will get too much. JW's aren't the most scientifically minded lot, and those who are end up leaving.
  His little comments are humorous. He sounds like he's trying to convince himself, and not others. I like him! I don't think he's going to last much longer in the organization.
  BTW, how's the pregnancy, LD? I'm ready for it to be over, and I've got until February 14th (a little Aquarian). And you're due on Thanksgiving day, if I remember correctly.
  Okay, two pregnant ExJw's. Pregnant with their second borns, OUT of the Org, both due on pagan holidays---do ya see the irony??

  I look forward to the day when the dinosaurs will be ressurrected to live with us in Paradise. I'll employ a newly vegetarian velociraptor to mow my lawn.

  OOOOOOOH, I'm joining this one. I'll LOVE hearing about how they may think that the dinosaurs were killed. This is something that I can nail them with if they say its anything other than a meteorite. I know a few things about meteorites (ok, so I made a deal today to trade a piece of a meteorite that I just got from the Smithsonian for a piece of moon rock) and I can nail them on anything they say. This'll be fun!
