"Keep your eye simple" indeed.
"It is not up to me, as a Christian, to seek justice on my own. It is up to God to handle the situation, and I will let Him do that for me," Torres said. "After a long talk with myself, I've decided this is the right path to take."
Anyone else catch the fact that he talks to himself?

Cognitive dissonance all the way here. He simultaneously believes he must wait on Jehovah to resolve this issue, while showing lack of trust in Jehovah's providence by even pursuing a lucrative worldly career. In this career he is out on long road trips away from the home congregation and territory, and unable to attend most meetings even when he is in his home city.
How often did we hear from the platform that JW's aren't supposed to have a worldly career? Serving Jehovah is supposed to be your "career".
Misapplied principle. Either you think they did you wrong, or you don't. Either you are going to pursue it, or you aren't.
The GB directs the Society to pursue justice left and right. Individual JWs who are or were in business (myself included) decide many times whether to seek legal remedies.
The Society does not provide consistent direction in this area.
i hate things like that lol.
Sounds like the two law firms he spoke with told him he didn't have a case. I've never understood why JWs (and others) seem to always make things about their religion when it has nothing to do with it at all.
I'm somehow thinking that God & the angels are not in heaven worrying about whether the Pirates or some other professional team have winning seasons.
