Watchtower Subscriptions

  I remember way back when, when the Watchtower came to my mailbox, on the whote wrapper it read in big bold red lettering:

  “ONLY 4 ISSUES REMAINING SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE WILL BE DISCONTINUED. OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL COPY THROUGH A CONGREGATION OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES.”

  This was of course back in 2001, by 2002 subscriptions were a thing of the past. So, it's been five years since the Watchtower and Awake had subscribers via the Postal Service.

  Since then, the Watchtower has gone through some changes, so why is it that after five or so years the Watchtower is still offering subscriptions to a magazine that you can no longer subscribe too? Perhaps someone can explain this to me, here is the inside of the Juy 2007 issue of The Watchtower.

  While subscriptions have ended for the average R&F Dub the society does continue subscriptions to areas that are not easily traveled by congregations. For those who accept to pay the increased costs of a personal mail delivery of the rags, (I mean mags.) they are still considered subscriptions. Many CO's pay the increased mailing costs (with their hard earned contributions from the local congregation.) So now you know.

  I think it's deceitful. Most are not aware. So if I pick up a mag at the laundry mat and send for a subscription, what's happens? I get some guy in a suit knocking on my door, inviting me to the hall, when all I asked for was a subscription.

  As far as Witnesses having a magazine route, it never works. year agi\o when I wanted to keep up with the dubs, I had everal JW promising me a subscription and they never came.

  I think it's all political ... like everyuthing else they do ... it's to hide the Truth. about the truth
