Where do the WTBTS chefs procure the ingredients for the food they dispense through the pages of the Watchtower Society's publications?

Now that is very interesting.
When I was at University, I was still a JW, and I wrote a dissertation on JW's (very pro JW, im ashamed to say). Anyhow, I wrote the whole thing in the style of the Watchtower, quoting all my references as "a scholar once said" or "a scientist stated".
My dissertation superviser laughed me out of the room and virtually crossed out the whole thing. She said "you have to STATE who your references are properly, the author, the book, the publisher, the date of publication, the page and the line on the page".
I was so embarrased and for the first time my eyes were opened to how vague and rubbishy the Watchtower writers were. I had spent 27 years thinking those magazines were the pinace of academic brilliance.

Ray Franz talks about some of these sources in Crisis of Conscience. They survive the test of time, but the Watchtower does not.

Just more hypocrasy. They can base their writing on christendom's commentaries, but god forbid you or I dare step into a YMCA.

That is the crux of the matter they are using the writings of those they describe as the agents of babylon the great and satan to strengthen their arguments which means there is something seriously wrong with what they teach the R&F dubs to do, even going to a curch will mean their expulsion and shunning yet the FDS has no problems using their research and religious knowledge.

Thank you, yes I got my degree in the end, after I had rewritten the whole thing in a proper academic style and not in JW speak!

Heeheehee, that reminds of how in a college writing class, I kept saying one should do this or one should do that. The professor looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Who the hell is 'one'?" I never forgot that.
