I haven't a clue about this one. I have heard the term used over the years but as far as a good definition for it Ihave none. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Shawn is looking for definitions today, it seems.

Envoy would indicate messengers. It is from the french word envoyer, which means "to send."

An ambassador has the legal authority negotiate and to enter into contracts and agreements which are binding upon his or her country; an envoy does not have such legal authority.

An envoy simply brings a message.

Used to hear that a lot when I first came into the religion in the mid 70's, emabassadors for christ, and envoys were I think refered to a pioneers at the time, or those bringing a message, the embassadors, the remnant, not sure will check it out further.

Ambassadors are the annointed; envoys are members of the great crowd.
