Red Flags should go up when any organization you are associated with and supporting is not open about it's money. There are institutions that track the various charities and religious organizations so that people can determine which ones are honest about their finances.
How does the Watchtower Society fare in this regard? Do you know, or have you ever known, how much they take in, or how much money they have, or even what they do with it totally? Does the 'rank & file' (the supporters) have open access or reveive accountablility from the Society?
I used to subscribe to THE BROOKLYN HEIGHTS PRESS to find out sometimes how much the Society paid for various properties it purchased in the New York area. But did the Society ever tell us, even when they were seeking loans for big purchases through the various congregations.
Apparently the secrecy still goes on. Maybe they don't want us to know how much is spent on various court cases defending themselves on such subjects as pedophile claims against them or judgements against them.
Is it possible that some are running off with the money or hiding it? I only ask as no accounting is available that I know of.
Think about this the next time you put something in the good ole 'Contribution Box'!
