Death Walk

This morning when I left church I was scooting down the side street close to my building and lo and behold for the first time in months and months I see two witnesses going from door to door. I knew immediatley they were JW's . As the sauntered up the street to the door it was as if they were doing a death walk,

Like this is the last thing I would love to do on the face of the earth, that was the impression I got. The one witness knocked at the door the other witness was staring in to what appeared to be outer space. No word of a lie. It was dreadful and I was thankful I no longer walk that dead walk.

Given the fact that they are pomoting a quite destructive cult it's no wonder that their walking seems deadly. They themselves may even believe that they are promoting the true religion but facts show otherwise.

I always think to myself when I see them, "There but for the grace of God go I."

OFC, I'm so glad you are living freely, walking freely, everyday. And here's a (((((HUG))))) because I know you are still aching from the loss of your dear husband.

they are bored out of their minds but they are afraid of what the brothers would say, being singled out for reproof of some sort, being gossiped about, not looking "theocratic" enough, being destroyed at the big A, you name it, they're afraid of it, so they trudge from door to door until they are so bored they could scream.

Doesn't their kingdom songbook say they are "Jehovah's Happy People"?

Obviously the 2 sisters on the Death March were an exception, and it's their fault they're not happy. They obviously lack faith, or they're hiding some wrongdoing.

They should be jubilant. They're spreading the cure for what ails mankind, the good news of the Kingdom!

It shouldn't matter that nobody listens. They should be good dubbies and paste on that Kingdom smile! They should be looking for houses to inhabit after Armageddon.

    I agree with you, OFC.

Nothing feels better than having fun on a day that you used to waste out in service!

    Well put OFC!

I have gone years without ever seeing a JW in the door to door work and just recently I've seen them working our territory a lot, they've even knocked on our door.......someone visiting us answered the door and talked to them! EWELLLLLL!!!!! Now I hope we aren't on their list, but then maybe I'll have to be prepared for them, bwhahahahaaa!

I know what you mean, one elder walks around with is bible in clutched in both ins hands and all in black like in the exocist, this is when he visits the week like he is the pope the assigned one to help this inactive rebellious sheep and he is the saviour, I know because it was me they were calling, was funny because the D.O was with him and he being a young in the troof elder calling on someone that has been baptised of over 30yrs and inactive and out of the troof for years, would have been a real hoot for him, and a learning thing, I was savy to the whole thing and pretended I was on another plane and had not really any idea why they would want to try and help me, there was nothing wrong with me, other than i had been discouraged because of lack of love, they didn't buy that, they were concerned about what I knew about the society, but at the time I really knew nothing, except that they are cold and pushy, they didn't care that I thought that.

Death walk, very descriptive. Don't want to move too fast because you may actually have to speak to someone.

Is the death walk related to the circle drive? It's all about avoidance.
