I have a step mum that is a kiwi and she just returned from a trip to NZ and gave me some of their currency. I don't think I have ever seen world currency with that clear window to the right. Does that last the life of the bill or pop out...

Very interesting. THE US has been revamping its currency for the last couple of years to foil counterfiters. They employ microprinting so they can not be copied with modern Laser Jet printers and have added colors to it...

NZ has the same as Australia - Polymer (not paper) notes printed in Australia. All Australian notes have the clear plastic section.

The 20 peso note from Mexico has a window. Looks wierd, but it's plastic coated and probably lasts a long time. Worth about 2 bucks.
