I need UN help FAST.

  Hey all. I just had a p.o. stop by to drop of a copy of the watchtower, and I asked him if I could ask him a question. I asked him about the witnesses being part of the UN. He had now idea what I was talking about, so I explained what I have read here, as best I could. He told me that there is no way the wtbs could be any part of the UN. I told him that I saw it on the UN website about a week ago. He told me to show him. Of course it wasn’t there. And he didn’t believe me. I told him that sometime in the past week or so that the wtbs had asked to be removed from the UN, And that I had seen copies of the letter from the UN. He still didn’t believe me and CALLED NEW YORK. He asked to talk with someone specific, (I don’t recall his name). He asked him about the UN thing and the p.o. was told that he hasn’t heard anything about it. According to the p.o. this guy is way up in the service dept. (just under the g.b.)

  This guy from the service dept. is paying a visit to the local hall this coming weekend. The p.o. would like me meet with this guy this weekend. I want to meet with him also. The p.o. asked me to get all the information I can, and bring it to the meeting. I was wondering if I could get links sent to me in this thread. I don’t mean to be lazy, but……. it will take me forever to find all the links. I also need the contact name, address and phone number to the guy at the UN. Time will not allow a letter response from the UN but I want to write it anyways.

  I don’t want to slam this guy nor, the org. I just want an answer. If this UN stuff is all true, why are they hiding it from everyone? Are they just ignoring it? Even from a person that has connections at the wtbs. Am I going to enlighten him? Who do you believe to have knowledge of this at the org? Is he going to go back to NY and ask someone else? Will I get an honest answer? I believe what I saw in my own eyes on the UN website. NO, I was not redirected to a apostate site (as was suggested by the p.o.).

  It was suggested to me that I call the UN tomorrow by the p.o. Do you think they will fax a letter addressed to me on this subject?

  If someone could please also post me a time line of the UN events.( when it was first found out, til the time they were disassociated) The whole thing about this is, I don’t know if they will believe me. I need the best proof of the facts.( letters, faxes, websites…) Also does anyone have a link to the UK branch site as I read there was a statement posted on there.

  Write an email inquiring about the matter to the Department of Public Information at the UN:

  [email protected]

  They will send you the same response they send everyone who asks about the Society's status, confirming that the Society did voluntarily seek associate NGO status until it was disassociated this month.

  It's an excellent and quick way to verify.

  It would be unwise to show the PO any links to this site. More preferable would be to print off documents indicating the WT's involvement and UN documents showing what was necessary to gain the status they had.

  Information proving such an association makes a statement in itself without having to discuss the matter further with these elders. Any comments these elders make will be purely personal speculation and will attempt to justify the Society's actions. Such speculation is useless and entirely predictable.

  I would just leave the information with the PO and refuse to meet with them. I am sure he isn't a bad person, but these sorts of meetings generally lead to bad things.

  Second one is the official letter from the UN confirming the WTS' ten-year association and recent disassociation.

  Each of the 10 years WTBTS's top-most leaders had to and did reapply for the NGO liason, granted by the UN with a condition stated decades previously that in so doing each accepted NGO would support the UN's mission. This the WTBTS did by frequent quotes during 1991-2001 of the UN or UN branches such as UNESCO, UNICEF and WHO, even while the Watchtower Society's other magazine, the Watchtower, sometime denounced the UN.

  Recently a least one person at the WTBTS has claimed some low level WTBTS worker simply had a form signed just so that the person could get access the UN's extensive library. However the application forms were not signed by low-level Watchtower Society workers but, again, by the very top-most leaders - we are told even including W.L. "Lloyd" Barry, a now deceased member of the Governing Body of the Watchtower Society, the AWAKE quotes are continuous etc. The Guardian has rightly called the WTBTS stand hypocrisy. It is a deception from the top of all beneath, even the most stalwart members.
