I rarely get to meetings (thankfully) but went last night to the MS/SM. I'm continually blown away by either the conductor or participant citing outrageous statistics. For example did you know that the US has a 5-6% growth rate? Did you know that we're building two new KH's a week? I've heard both these claims and left the meeting dumbfounded as to why no one would correct these obviously bogus statements. Last night however was the topper. A MS from Bethel makes the statement that Jehovah is blessing the one Awake monthly arrangement.

How does he know this? Is he in communication with God? Just because lightning hasn't struck Bethel, is he assuming that God's blessing is on whatever they do? After the meeting I couldn't resist telling him about the day that Fred Franz visited Watchtower Farm and stood in front of us along with Lou Wildman the pressroom overseer and Phil Wilcox the factory overseer and said that the W&A would be printed until Armageddon. Now that the public is receiving effectively half the information it received on a monthly basis, I wondered outloud how God would be blessing this arrangement. I'm sure he wrote me off as the weak inactive hasbeen that I am.

Sometimes I want to tell everyone from the platform that the Governing Body are just lizards that have morphed into humans and see if that goes down well.

I have noticed lots of statistics on this blog. Here's one more. According to this website there are about 6 million JW's in the world.

Not that it matters one iota, but there are 22 million Catholics in Mexico City alone.

Draw whatever conclusions you wish. (I am neither)

For example did you know that the US has a 5-6% growth rate? Did you know that we're building two new KH's a week?

But they never tell you the percentage of those leaving, nor how many KH's are closing. Besides, the WTBTS

is in the real estate and building business. I don't think the building of two new KH's a week is because of

    publisher growth.

    Hey, Feelin.......,

FYI: Brooklyn Bethel was struck by lightning one morning [circa 1970] during b'fast and "worship." The crackle, thunder and subsequent crash of brick upon the sidewalk gave us all a start. It was the stylized watchtower upon the brand new building next to 117 Columbia Heights that came tumbling down.

Was that a sign of sorts? And from WHOM?

They try to paint a rosy picture of the situation in their org so as to keep up the morale of their followers, obviously the WTS has no divine blessing any more than the religions they consider to be hostile to them and therein hostile to God, as they see it.
