How Jesus Says No to Watchtower Preaching

It's very simple. In Matt.7:1-5 Jesus says "judge not" and that individuals will be judged according to what judgement they imposed

on others. He also advised to remove the "rafter" in your own eye before you go removing a splinter from someone else.

Take a good look at what Witnesses preach door to door: the moral condemnation of others, how to be happy, how to

have a good family life and so on. Meanwhile, they swallow anti-depressants, secretly view porn, lead "double lives",

and - in particular - suffer from families breaking apart and the loss of Witness kids, as most "leave the truth".

There is no reason for them to preach to others about massive situations that they cannot solve themselves. Jesus says so.

It's as simple as that - and no amount of attractive pictures printed in the Awake magazine changes the situation.

They are dragging themselves out in field service without solutions to the problems they commonly preach about.

I'm not a big advocate of Jesus but these two statements of his completely make sense. Here he was teaching people not to be judgemental & self righteous, two traits that are very common among the JW's. Even though they're supposed to be pay heed to these teachings a lot of them do the complete opposite.

    secretly view porn

Great post, but I could not help but think how if this was not done secretly, then porn would be viewed openly in public, where everyone can see it. lol Like on a jumbotron at times square.

I liked the idea of "He who does not practice mercy, will have his judgment...without mercy." They even quote that from the platform.

And then they show total lack of mercy. You are never doing enough in field circus. Children getting beatings (not just spankings, beatings) for not paying attention to the meetings or for acting up and trying to play while out in field circus (which is all damn day). Hounders doing all in their power to stop the opposite sex from meeting up, and then expecting people to exude with joy. Having to dress up in extreme weather--brothers(?) in suit coats in hot weather, with the collar button done up; sisters(?) with panty hose and nothing else on their legs, except a skirt that is exactly 2" below the knees, in bitter cold. Expecting people to sacrifice their time for field circus, and then wondering why the house is dirty or in need of major repair. The kangaroo court judicial hearings and merciless houndings preceding them.

This is just another example of wretched integration skills these people have. Mercy is not just withholding punishment when such is deserved; even they themselves say that. Mercy means relieving people of situations that cause distress. And they do none of that: they do not practice any mercy whatsoever when disaster strikes, and they swoop down like vultures to recruit people when one does hit. They are not nice people to associate with, since they do not keep their noses out of your business. They are always creating problems where none needed to exist--to me, that is the opposite of mercy since they are creating distress.

Hopefully, Ted Jaracz will join his buddy Albert Schroeder and have his judgment totally...without mercy.
