Will Jesus accept time cards and magazines as "deeds" on the day of judgement?

"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith, but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by actions, is dead." James (I forget verse #)

    CRITERIA OF JUDGEMENT
31 ‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. 34Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” 37 Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? 38And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? 39 And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?” 40And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family,* you did it to me.”’

Ah - but doesn't spiritual food help a person live forever???

If you give him food for today, he'll still be hungry tomorrow. But if you give him the magazines and he listens, Jehovah will give him everlasting life!!

This is like trying to tell people that all they need is to preach. The Tower tells us that we "give our spiritual brothers these things" by helping them in field circus. And the Bible was pretty explicit in mentioning physical, not spiritual, things here.

A key example is Isaac Newton. The Watchtower Society has hinted strongly on a number of occasions that he is in heaven, as one of the anointed (pre-Watchtower, so his worldliness can be excused on the grounds that he was seeking the truth and it could not be found at that time). But what kind of person was Newton?

Remember, Newton worked at a college. He was the type of person that thought independently (how else could he have come up with so many theories and facts that have revolutionized science?). He has done much to debunk the church teachings that the earth is at the center of the universe, picking up where Copernicus and Galileo left off. He came up with the laws of thermodynamics, which are still useful today. He came up with the laws of inertia, which a lot of modern inventions take advantage of. He came up with the concept of gravity, which explained how the solar system worked. He worked with light, splitting it up into its colors with a prism. If you gave him a doctrine, he would take it apart and get to the bottom of it.

Is this the kind of person the Watchtower Society would approve of? Remember, recently they directed NO independent Bible research or verification of doctrine. Newton would not have gone along with that, and I would think if he was a Witness, he would be disfellowshipped quickly for apostasy. The Tower doesn't like independent thinkers--Newton was one. The Tower doesn't like college--Newton worked for one. The Tower doesn't like advanced explanations for scientific phenomena that they could attributed to demons--Newton kept generating them And yet Newton was alluded to as probably among the anointed, pre-Tower. I only wish Newton was the president of the Watchtower Society--it would be interesting to see how long it would last.

Now, does this mean that we should be independent researchers? Most of the people that the Watchtower Society insinuate as anointed before they came around were in fact scientists like Newton. And helping our brothers means doing the same work they are doing--which means helping them find the truth, not just lock it and spread an ever-changing mess of confusing rules to others. So, even if the rule meant "doing the work that the anointed are doing", this means that we should all be doing all we can to find and develop the real truth. I remember Jesus telling us that we should be like small children--small children naturally try to develop and find the real truth on their own. Perhaps we should all be like Newton and those small children and explore and probe until we find the real truth. Then we would all benefit.

    And, no time slips needed.

So has Jehovah instructed the FDS to redefine what Jesus actually said?

Or should the bOrg just be renamed as TRUMPTower?

The JWs have grossly overrated their preaching activity but whatever they do if they don't have love then it is all pointless. Being a loveless society, their preaching is nothing but a waste of time.

They will say they worked for Jesus but He will reject them as workers of lawlessness.
