Here is an article of a french's newspaper about a reaction of the french's government mission on the infiltration of the UN by some NGO self proclamed:(automatic translation sorry)

    Certain ONG would be infiltrated

Sects found a new ground of preference to spread(diffuse) their theses and to collect capital: the non-governmental organizations ( ONG ).

In the report, l has interministerial mission dedicate a wide place to the denunciation of the sectarian entryism within the ONG. The MILS underlines that " in their international functioning, sectarian movements use gladly the tools which allow them to escape in any legality the control of States. "
According to the experts, l are ONG " became very strong control levers of influence, powerful relays of opinion, big international coordinators ".
The MILS quotes " a high-ranking servant of a country of Asia " asserting that certain ONG " acquired more importance than many States themselves ".
Now 2.012 ONG obtained a consultative status with the UNO. And 918 others put down(deposited) demands to obtain him(it). This status, often granted(tuned) without serious study of the ONE U, confers on these organizations a respectability and allows them to participate in international conferences mission does not quote any ONG's name. His(her) president evoked recent colloquiums of the OSCE on the freedom of religion and the rights of the man, during which o nt been able to ' to express representatives of the Scientology and the Jehovah's Witnesses.

    Thanks Charles,

Have you read the latest BULLES n° 71, p. 11? In March 1999, the FECRIS, already knew about the involment of Jehovah's Witnesses as NGO. So this might make the FECRIS, the first who knew about it. Unfortunately, it don't seem they knew what the WBTS published for years against the UN. This shows the importance

    Select NGO's to be Infiltrated

Sects have found a new stomping ground to spread their beliefs and collect funds: Non-governmental Organizations (NGO).

In its report, the Interministerial Mission devoted a large section to the denunciation of sectarian entries amidst NGOs. The MILS underscored that "in their international capacity, sectarian movements (...) voluntarily use tools which permit them to get around any legal control by the [various] States."

According to experts, NGOs "have become very strong wielders of influence, very powerful opinion conduits, big international coordinators." The MILS cites "a highly-placed Asian official" asserting that certain NGOs "have become more important than [member] States themselves." Thus 2,012 NGOs have obtained consultative status with the United Nations Organization. And 918 others have applied to have such. This status, often awarded without serious investigation by the U.N., confers respectability on these organizations and allows them to participate in international conferences. The mission did not pinpoint any particular NGO. Its president evoked recent international OSCE conferences on religious freedom and human rights, during which representatives of both Scientology and Jehovahs Witnesses were permitted to speak. The MILS relates that the United Nation's Non-governmental Organization Committee called for stricter controls at status renewal time, which is every four years. The possibility of instituting a "quota" of accredited NGOs was also mentioned.
