BM=Bookmarked R=Reduced from 25 to 13 MB --------------------------------------------------- McPhail states: "The views set forth in this tract to the effect that Jesus the mediator of the members of the Church and that they are under and are being blessed by the New Covenant, were maintained and taught in the Watch Tower, and in all the volumes of Millennial Dawn for at least twenty years, from the time Volume 1 was published in 1886 until 1907, in which year the Editor and Author of the Tower and Dawns changed his views and now teaches that the members of the church never needed a mediator (102) and that they are not, and neverwere, under the New Covenant. When holding to the views (those set forth in this tract) he at various times stated that those who after having accepted Jesus as their mediator, denied him as such and repudiated the New Covenant, would fall into the hands of the Living God and meet their just deserts, utter destruction, the second death. (See pages 41, 72, 75.) He, however, has now done the very thing which he at that time so strongly condemned; and yet, in a recent Tower, he implies that those who hold to the old views on these subjects are not right at heart, that they have gone into outer darkness; and he uses the language of Heb. 6:4-5 respecting them." (See pages 101-105, Millennial Dawn Teachings) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- My comments: Isn't it true, that we still see this same mental condition and these same practices running rampant within the Watchtower Society today? What Jehovah's Witnesses believe and practice today, may not necessarily be what they believe or practice a year from now. What is considered a "right interpretation" today in the Watchtower Society, may be viewed as "apostate" a year from now. The real problem that exists with these "flip-flopping" views held by the Watchtower, is that these views and ever-changing interpretations are costing people their lives, causing families to separate, and allowing practices such as pedophilia to run unchecked until it is too late and innocent children suffer the trauma.   Wow! I don't think any other literature from the New Covenant schism of 1909 has been released to researchers before. This book is great information for those researching the development of Watchtower history and doctrine. Thanks, Atlantis, for making this available for us!
