Preemployment Drug Screenings

I have not been associated with the JWs for many, many years. Today I had someone ask me why JWs don't submit to preemployment or employment drug screening. I had never heard this one and suspect it's some random person out there just trying to get out of taking a drug test. Then again, JWs are known for some really out there beliefs. Is giving a blood or urine sample with respect to employment something they are discouraged to do?

I've been faded for years but have family still in and I've never heard of such a thing. My relatives that are 'in' go for medical tests all the time and have never balked at a blood draw.

I do know some witlings that say they wouldn't pee on an apostate that was on fire, maybe that's what they meant.

I've never heard of that, but it gives me a great idea for getting out of drug screens!

There is nothing to support that statement. Witnesses take blood tests. Anyways, a drug screen uses urine. I don't know of any scriptural prohibition against peeing. The only job you might be able to get without a drug screen is a window washer.

I have NO idea what you're talking about........whoops, whoa....I just dropped my bong ....crap. There is NO official policy about drug testing.....unless of course you would fail said drug test....(cough, ....)
