It was about 5pm yesterday, I noticed 2 men in suits walking around my block, at first I thought they were only there to visit one house, but then they started going door to door, they were holding a magazine after the first house so then I knew, they were Dubs, I grabbed my Shot Gun, Holy Water, and Crucifix, and changed into my Jehovah's Witness Protection Program t-shirt. Too bad I had to leave home before they got around to my place, but I won tickets to Disney's Halloween Treat, so I didn't get to confront them.

But what is up with Door to Door work so late? I don't remember them doing that before

It sounds like the local congregation is about to have a c.o. visit and the elders need to report that they worked out of service with a candidate for ms, elder or even a 'problem' publisher. Perhaps late afternoon was the only time they could do it.

I wonder what are they telling them now that the end was indefinitely postponed what's the point of going out to preach at all, what's the urgency?

Maybe, just maybe, they are dubs really wanting to talk to those families that work during the week, that take their children and play on Saturday.

Reaching those not-at-home list of people, should be of the most upmost importance. Some of these people may have never heard the WORD.

When else, would they be reached? Or maybe they were trying to get in some time, so they could go golfing this weekend.

When I was pioneering Wednesdays were our designated "late" days where there would be meetings for service at 9, 12, and 3. I remember going out until 6 o'clock in the evening sometimes.

I remember during daylight savings time we'd meet at 6pm and do return visits and door to door until it got dark out.
