  The 74 KM is quoted because of this statement:

  Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's end.—1 John 2:17

  It's on page 3 of the KM or the first page of that insert. A bit more on this can be found at:

  It's the idea that people are being commended on selling out their posssessions "to finish out the rest of their days in this old sytem in the pioneer service" just before 1975.
