Looking back, I realize that the JW yearbook was about the only thing I looked forward to. I would usually read it in it's entirety. When I became older and wiser, the information in the yearbook seemed so .... well, shady. Now, I've come to realize just how "doctored" those so-called experiences must have been.
How about those Yearbook experiences?

You must be alluding to the sisters who walked 10 miles each way to get to the meetings, crossing 4 crocodile-infested rivers, evading guerilla warriors intent on sacrificing Jehovah's servants who would not buy a party card, fighting off the unwanted advances of man-eating tigers and managing to save the 15 smuggled Watchtower magazines so that the Watchtower Study could be held.
Is that the one you are talking 'bout?

Aaaah yes, the yearbooks. Loved those and ate up the stories about the sisters in Africa (insert 3rd world country here) with the two club feet, 8 children under the age of 5, an unbelieving mate who beat her, who faithfully pioneered and never missed a meeting though she crawled through alligator infested swamps five miles to get there--NOW WHY CAN'T YOU DO MORE?!?!?! LOL!
Thanks for reminding me!

Every religion has 'em.
And often times they borrow from each other.

Or, what about spending $600 renting a helicoptor to get to the meetings?

All those struggling pioneers who had no beds or safe place to stay when they went where the need was great! I am so happy I did not read too many of those things they always seemed to have a bible verse that did not match the example! Did you just say what a minute, or ehhh! ahhh!

Most of the experiences are just downright lies or exaggerations,
The same is true in many 'Public Talks', the experiences etc. are all unconfirmed and unsubstantiated,
this is why Dubs mustn't use the Web!
My favourite, Sister fokyc regularly reminds me:
"The chap in the Australian outback who was feeling very low and in need of spiritual help, along comes just one car, guess what!
It's a witless going to the KH, the chap goes along and bingo, he's an elder within a short while!!
