Some wonder why the FDS is singular in mt 24:45-47 but then is described as a "class" of more than one by the WTBTS. Our new DO said this weekend at the circuit assembly that this has been done before by Jehovah at isa 43:10: "you are my witnesses(plural),....my servant(singular). He implied that the "slave"(singular) could be a group of people using this precedent. Anybody ever heard this before? New to me, so sorry if this has been discussed before.

Yes, the Bible Student say that servant in Mathew is Russell. So the JW changed it to a class group.

Yes this is not a new point. I heard it about 20 years ago, and to be fair to the society scriptually this could be correct. However this is the only part of these verses that could be applied. The rest about Jesus finding the slave doing what he asked them is far from correct.

Isaiah was written in Hebrew and Matt. was written in Greek. Wouldn't the two languages have different rules of grammar?
I say this because your DO's answer is typical JW response to a question. They never ANSWER the question, just use a strawman instead.
