I still havent gotten the ambition to finish Collapse: How Civilisations choose to fail or succeed. (I mean yea he's onto a lot of things that people don't think about often but still need to be said, but I disagree with some of his premises. Read "A Short History of Progress" for another fascinating read.

The only reason I bought The Third Chimp last week was because I didn't have enough cash to buy Guns, Germs And Steel, which sounds like an excellent read! 3rd Chimp seems to be a good transition from The Ancestor's Tale. I have a tough time holding on to the info I gather, and reading more on the same topic reinforces learning and a little retention. I think getting into a discussion group might also help.
