Excuse me, why are you on here promoting Danny Haszard? Less than two weeks ago his video of the pepper-spray attack on two elderly JW's was posted, and quickly withdrawn. Most members here do not align with Danny's attack on individual JW's.
Everything else you mentioned is old news. We are aware of the UN / NGO scandal and the pedophile coverup. These are well known.
What is your point?

perhaps this person is only starting his search...

Sheesh, why bark at the Newbie guy? Read his ID, he's a NEWBIE. Maybe he never heard of Danny Hazard until prior to his post, or the UN/NGO, or Barb A. etc. I mean people DO have to learn things as brand "NEW" at some point in time. Sheesh, it's has never been safe around here for newbies. You people who jump on innocent newbie comments are SO RUDE and MEAN. Get over yourself. Not Everybody has known about the UN/NGO since it's exposure circa 2001, nor any of the other things.
Have you ever heard of Give People the Benefit of the Doubt? BE NICE FIRST, for crying out loud.
THEN later if any NEWBIE proves to be a real jerk, then you can complain, but good grief, quit jumping on the dang newbies' first posts. HOW RUDE is that. Quit being so freaking suspicious of people.
Who knew Danny posted something that was not cool? I haven't been around here in weeks and weeks so I didn't know either. Yet prior to that he posted quite often. So you want to bark at me too? You're a jerk more often than not. Sick of the uncalled-for-suspicions. Ridiculous.

Welcome Newbie "ed". Ignore that suspicious paranoid Gopher. If you're enjoying the UN/NGO info, congrats! Great stuff.

I've always found Danny Haszard to be an Interesting Individual. He is obviously intelligent. In many ways, I respect him. In others I don't. We all screw up at one time or another. Some of us more seriously lthan others. I hope Danny works out his problems before he gets thrown in Jail or possibly "Whacked" somehow.

Welcome darkman!
I hope you're legit, and not Danny Hazzard or one of his pals trying to stir things up over here.

I'm new to the issue, too. Is this it?:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrespasserMy focus would normally be about the leaders being deceptive when trying to
affect exclusiveness, especially if any followers are harmed by relationships
being broken up, let alone hurt or killed in hospitals, Germany, Malawi, etc.Rutherford put the followers into conflicts, and had a hand, which current JWs
leaders ignore, in getting followers thrown into prison camps and killed. Yet
Rutherford's strictly selfish motives in sending orders from his mansion to fol-
lowers to take the risk of spreading his prejudice and damnation around with
loudspeakers led to some general rules about freedom of speech. Followers diso-
beying "no trespassing" signs and being attacked reminds me of that--followers
getting into conflict over support or criticism of the JWs leaders. One point about it I don't know that could make a difference is what the cur-
rent JWs leaders' stance on "no trespassing" signs is--to encourage followers to
respect them or disrespect them and consider any resultant harm to be suffering
for the sake of righteousness? If the latter, which could be dangerous in some
countries, even fatal in Saudi Arabia, this could provoke and already opinion-
ated person to be even more defensive. Was it encouraged by the leaders or done
out of these followers' own initiative? If the trespassers knocked on a "no trespassing" sign, they could be said to
have been warned, even up to mischief to make a confrontation with a controver-
sially critical dweller with strong opinions, which Danny was popularly known to
be. The leaders' tract with kids on the cover and claiming thousands have died
putting God's word first, for example, which I'd call being misleading though
kids have died, can be pretty upsetting and offensive, but I wouldn't recommend
pepper spraying old followers. Even if they could reasonably be suspected as up
to something annoying to provoke conflict, the leaders don't let them run any-
thing. It would be like pepper spraying Popoff's followers. On the followers
side, in this case I think I'd have called or written ahead to make an appoint-
ment....What's the current JWs leaders' stance about how followers should handle "no
trespassing" signs? -
Gopher
Glenster,
I've been out a little over 7 years. But I think the policy is still this -- if a JW sees a "no trespassing" sign, they should follow it. The WTS has never recommended trespassing in such a case. However, if the sign says "no peddling" or "no soliciting", the stance was to talk to the householder and try to explain the JW work isn't a profit-making work, but an educational one (or something like that). In my experience, people with "no soliciting" signs didn't like me (as a JW) calling on their door -- no matter how I explained it.
If a person requests to be put on the "Do Not Call" list, a note is supposed to be made on the back of the territory card. Whoever is supervising the door-to-door work is always supposed to check for addresses on the Do Not Call list. Sometimes though, these addresses were missed and those people were accidentally visited.
